You'll hit upon a gorgeous lake called Rock Pond near Big Island Pond; Big Island Pond is right by the Arnold Pond Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Saddleback is a brilliant local ski area; the Morrell Trail offers hiking at its best. All the water falling down from the sky makes Big Island Pond a wet place; August is the month that gets       the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. If you came to camp Cupsuptic Campground is a glorious location to do that, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kennebago River. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great planet it would be. There's so much to do here at Big Island Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cathedral Pines Camping Area is a wonderful                  place for that, and Dead River - North Branch is a perfect whitewater spot nearby. Summertime highs at Big Island Pond usually tend to be in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Big Island Pond.
