This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Cathedral Pines Camping Area is a tremendous place to camp; if you come at the right time of year, Dead River - North Branch offers some tremendous whitewater. Lakes are great; Rock Pond is a lake that's close to Big Island Pond, and there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Arnold Trail. While you're       here at Big Island Pond you can take a hike along the Morrell Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Kennebago River. Yep, outdoors entertaining things to do are in fact bountiful here at Big Island Pond. Cupsuptic Campground is a brilliant campground nearby, and obviously, this is a pleasant vicinity for folks who like lakes, L Pond is a lake in the neighborhood. At Big Island Pond all through the warmest time                  of the year highs are in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Big Island Pond are in the-10's. On a magnificent day at Big Island Pond you can take a hike along the Arnold Pond Trail, and Saddleback has great slopes and a friendly staff.
