This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Get your heart pumping on the magnificent whitewater of Kennebec River - East Outlet, and there's fine hiking along the Intake Trail. Why not stop by close by Trout Stream if you're here at Big Indian Pond. There's so much to do here at Big Indian Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Casey's Spencer Bay Campground is a pleasant place for       that. At Big Indian Pond you can make out Trout Pond Mountain, and Bingham Motor Inn is a splendid place to get some rest. From a rain point of view Big Indian Pond is a quite normal place; during the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a good choice; a great spot for whitewater paddling is Kennebec River - West Outlet.                  Summertime highs at Big Indian Pond commonly tend to be in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Big Indian Pond. Good hiking is available along the Big Squaw Mountain Trail.
