     This is a tremendous region for folks who like lakes. Upper First Saint John Pond is a lake in the neighborhood, and paddling on Penobscot River - North Branch is so much fun. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Big Bog; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Get covered with water paddling on Baker Branch, and don't forget to take a great little tour to Camp Brook. Yeah,  
   come here to Big Bog for a great time.
At Big Bog through the summertime months highs are in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Big Bog. After a long day outdoors Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a fine location to spend a night or two; Big Bog is a great place to visit for more than one day, Seboomook wilderness Campground is a great place to camp
 
               nearby. Lakes are good; Lower First Saint John Pond is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Big Bog, and Old Mill Camping Area is a great local campground.

This is the web site for Seboomoook Wilderness Campground. Yes they are still there and it's still beautiful! Their phone number is at their web site. They have a new email address but I don't know what it is....
My family and I have been to seboomook campground for the last 7 years, Its beautiful, friendly and a great place to spend some time. When planning this years trip I have discovered that I cannot get to the web page,(when going to that page a porno site comes up) and the number I had made reservations on for the last 7 years is not in service. I dont understand this?...Is it still there???...
