What a nice lake Big Benson Pond is. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Big Benson Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Jo-mary Lake Campground is a tremendous place for that, and Pittsfield Motor Inn is a great location to get some rest. If the weather is pleasant here at Big Benson Pond, you can go for a hike along the Auburn Log Hauling Road, and have a look at nearby House Bog.

From a rainfall point of view Big Benson Pond is a quite typical site;
the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Gulf Hagas Trail; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing
at close by Big Squaw. There's whitewater on Ship Pond Stream for all you thrill seekers, and if you need a place to stay Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a delightful choice.
