A lovely lake like Ragged Lake in close proximity to Berry Pond is a good place to take a look at; a splendid nearby hotel is Econo Lodge Inn & Suites. Going for a hike on the Big Spencer Mountain Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and Berry Pond is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Frost Pond Campground is a delightful local       campground. This lake is so wonderful. So many exciting things near Berry Pond, clearly striking. Go for a hike on the Gulf Hagas Trail; there are some good whitewater spots on Pleasant River - West Branch. The annual precipitation here at Berry Pond is about average; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. If you need a location to stay Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a good choice; Little Berry Pond is a splendid                  lake close by. At Berry Pond during the days of summer highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Berry Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
