     Good hiking is available along the Bigelow Range Trail, and Spencer Stream is a good whitewater spot close by. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Beck Pond; Fire Warden Trail is a nice local trail; camping is available at Black Arrow Lodge. The annual precipitation here at Beck Pond is about average; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. At Beck Pond through the summer months highs are in the 70's while nighttime  
   lows are commonly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Beck Pond.
If you go for the outdoors, you'll like Beck Pond. Bear Mountain is uncomplicated to spot from Beck Pond, and Bear Pond is a magnificent lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Beck Pond, for example Cedar Pond; hey, Gotta ski right? Sugarloaf USA is a wonderful site to do that.

               Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best; a good nearby hotel is Herbert Grand Hotel. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Spencer Stream; a brilliant place to camp here at Beck Pond is Loon Echo Campground.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....
