This lake is so wonderful. Beaver Pond is right by the Lead Mountain Trail; if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mopang Stream. This lake is so wonderful. The warmest time of the year at Beaver Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's,       and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Beaver Pond temperatures dip to the 0's. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Machias River - West Branch is a good whitewater spot near Beaver Pond; Fourth Machias Lake is a wonderful lake close by. A day at beautiful Big Sand Beach in the vicinity of Beaver Pond is a great thing to do,                  and why not explore nearby Fifth Lake Stream while you're here at Beaver Pond. Beaver Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while February is mostly the driest month. If you came to camp Keenes Lake Camping Grounds is a pleasant location to do that; a great close by hotel is Bar Harbor Inn.
