Sure, Watson Pond is just a very short distance away. Fairfield Inn & Suites Augusta is a nice spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Cobbosseecontee Stream; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Beaver Brook,       and a good close by hotel is Winthrop Motel. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. There's so much to do here at Beaver Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Five Seasons Campground is a glorious site for that; a fine sight of wonderful Blueberry Hill is available. Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs commonly are in the 70's at Beaver Pond; the night is a bit cooler of course, typically in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs                  in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Beaver Pond temperatures fall to the 0's. Paddling on Sandy River is so much fun, and don't forget to explore Long Point since you're here. You're sure to come across some nice people from Augusta-Waterville here; fine skiing awaits you at Eaton Mountain. Beaver Pond is a wet place that gets a lot of rainfall; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
