    Go to Beaver Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. You're almost certainly hooked on lakes, Secret Pond is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Saddleback, and a nice place for whitewater paddling is Kennebago River. Beaver Pond is a wet place that gets a lot of rainfall; throughout August this area sees the most rain; the driest month is February.
Very splendid water scenery is available at Beaver
 
   Pond Dam in close proximity to Beaver Pond, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Arnold Trail. Through the summer, highs usually are in the 70's at Beaver Pond. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Beaver Pond are in the-10's. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Beaver Pond has to offer, you can camp at Cathedral Pines Camping Area; in case you don’t  
               have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dead River - North Branch.
All the outdoors amusing stuff next to Beaver Pond will keep you coming back over and over. There's so much to do here at Beaver Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cupsuptic Campground is a splendid location for that; since you're here you can take a hike along the Morrell Trail. Looking for something near Beaver Pond? Long Pond is close by, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Arnold Pond Trail.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....

A Dopplemayr quad chairlift replaces the Kennebago T-bar which was difficult to ride because of the steep terrain. The new chair will now provide easy access to the spectacular high-elevation advanced terrain with incredible views of the lakes and Western Maine Mountains.
