     The Arnold Pond Trail offers hiking at its best, and Cathedral Pines Camping Area is a great local campground. What would winter be without some skiing at Saddleback. Beaver Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Beaver Pond get into the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with  
   winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Beaver Pond.
In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dead River - North Branch, and there's always Beaver Pond Dam to have a look at near Beaver Pond. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Beaver Pond. Kennebago River is a glorious whitewater spot near Beaver Pond, and Cupsuptic Campground is a splendid campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Secret Pond is
 
               a nearby lake that you could go to, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Beaver Pond; Morrell Trail is a great local trail.
Do pop by Long Pond near Beaver Pond, it's a gorgeous lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Arnold Trail.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....

A Dopplemayr quad chairlift replaces the Kennebago T-bar which was difficult to ride because of the steep terrain. The new chair will now provide easy access to the spectacular high-elevation advanced terrain with incredible views of the lakes and Western Maine Mountains.
