     This lake is so wonderful. You'll stumble on a picturesque lake called Mud Pond near Beaver Pond; don't leave Beaver Pond without first going for a hike along the Bemis Stream Trail. You definitely ought to like the White Mountains. Saddleback is a perfect local ski area, and camping is available at Black Brook Cove Campground. The amount of precipitation that falls at Beaver Pond is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is regularly August,  
   that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Beaver Pond is one of the lakes here in the White Mountains. You can run the rapids of Dead River - South Branch in the neighborhood of Beaver Pond, and lakes are such serene sites, why not check out Mountain Pond. You get a splendid sight of Beaver Mountain from Beaver Pond.
After a long day outdoors Grand Summit Resort Sunday River is a wonderful place to
 
               spend a night or two, and while you're here you can play some golf at Evergreen Golf Club & Golf School. Summertime highs at Beaver Pond commonly tend to be in the 70's while night lows are regularly in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Beaver Pond are in the-10's. These mountains rock, just explore all the fun stuff to do in the White Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground is a splendid spot to camp, and a good spot for whitewater paddling is Black Brook.
This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous nearby hotel is The Perennial Inn; you can go for a hike on the Bemis Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Beaver Pond. The slopes of Black Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist; fine hiking is available along the Angel Falls Trail.

LARGEST ADVANCED SKIING COMPLEX IN THE EAST
The new chair provides easy access to what was already the largest self-contained advanced skiing complex in the East. The black diamond terrain is in a bowl that is separate from the rest of the ski area. Three advanced trails were added in the bowl this summer. The new lift services 12 Top-to-Bottom advanced skiing runs.
NOVICES & INTERMEDIATES CAN SKI FROM THE SUMMIT -- FOR THE FIRST TIME
The new quad chairlift also allows novice and intermediate skiers to ski from the summit for the first time. Novices can now enjoy the panoramic views and ski along the 4000 ft. ridge amongst rime-frosted conifers before descending to the base via the 3.1 mile America and Hudson Highway trails. Intermediates can ski Tri-Color and Green Weaver, a one mile loop, back to the Kennebago Chair.

Today I finished a kayak trip from Strong, Maine and took out at Osoola Park in Norridgewock. It took a day and three quarters. The bridge in New Sharon is by far  the largest waves just under the bridge. Tired arms went through that at the near end of day. The water after that is fast for about an hour after that. Need to pay attention....

We stayed at South Arm campground and paddled the lake every day. One night we rented a wilderness site and tented from canoes. We also drove down the road and hiked out and back on the AT.
