The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Bigrock, and dry warm beds await you at Shiretown Motor Inn. On a great day at Beaver Pond you can take a hike along the Pierce Tote Road. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Beaver Pond is Birch Point Lodge Campgrounds, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Kennedy Tote Road. During the summer months at       Beaver Pond temperatures are generally in the 70's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the-10's for Beaver Pond. Beaver Pond gets a typical amount of rain; July is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is February. Camping at Bear Mountain Lodge is always a great experience, and swing by Collis Brook it's a tremendous spot to stop at. If you need                  a place to stay Scottish Inns Houlton is a good choice, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Mattawamkeag River - East Branch. This place, Beaver Pond, it truly has so much outdoors entertaining stuff.
