Hilltop Campground is a pleasant local campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Dennys River offers some splendid whitewater. Just can't get enough of Beaver Lake. Elliott Mountain is a peak you can spot from Beaver Lake, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Carson Heath is right nearby. | | deal of rain; November is the wettest month with most rain; July on the other hand is the driest. Beaver Lake is a fine spot to visit for more than one day, Knowlton's Seashore Campground is a fine spot to camp nearby, and you'll come across a gorgeous lake called Pine Lake. Visiting Roosevelt Campobello International Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Beaver Lake with overnight lows in the 50's. | |

The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Beaver Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Miller Point is not far from Beaver Lake at all; lakes are such serene locations, why not go to Nashs Lake.
