Camping at Wilde Pines Campground is always a nice experience, and if you've had enough of Beaver Brook Lake, Mud Pond is close by. If you come at the right time of year, Mattawamkeag River - East Branch offers some wonderful whitewater,       and perhaps you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Mud Lake is just a very short distance away. During the warmest time of the year highs here at Beaver Brook Lake get into the 70's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, generally in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; overnight lows in the 0's for Beaver Brook Lake.
