    Go to Bear Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. Float down the rapids of Pleasant River - West Branch in a kayak, and you can stay the night at Frost Pond Campground. Yeah, come here to Bear Pond for a great time. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Big Squaw, and hey, Black Brook is a magnificent local stream. All through the warm days of summer here at Bear Pond, high temperatures generally reach the 70's. All through the dark hours of  
   summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while Bear Pond night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the-10's.
The amount of rainfall that falls at Bear Pond is close to the national average; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while February is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are perfect; Ragged Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood
 
               of Bear Pond, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Bear Pond; Big Spencer Mountain Trail is a pleasant local trail. Katahdin Inn is a glorious site to get some rest, and not far from Bear Pond you'll discover Caribou Lake which is a charming lake.
Paddling on Roach River is so much fun; Bear Pond is right by the Gulf Hagas Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a splendid choice. Ragged Lake Dam is beautiful and it's near Bear Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Number Four Mountain Trail.
