A lake nearby is Beck Pond; Bear Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, King & Bartlett Lake Camp is a pleasant local campground. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Spencer Stream, and the Fire Warden Trail is a pleasant hiking trail nearby. Throughout the summertime       here at Bear Pond, high temperatures frequently get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Bear Pond through the winter regularly dip into the-10's. An average amount of precipitation falls at Bear Pond; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is the month with the least moisture. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed                  up. Bear Pond is not the only place nearby, Cedar Pond is a nearby lake, and there is a delightful hiking trail close by called the Sally Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Herbert Grand Hotel is a great place to spend a night or two. Why not pop by King-Bartlett Lake Dam while you're here, and if you came to camp Black Arrow Lodge is a magnificent location to do that. This lake is so wonderful.
