If you need a spot to stay       Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a good choice; there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Pleasant River - West Branch. There's whitewater on Roach River for all you adrenaline kick people, and don't leave Bear Pond without first going for a hike along the Gulf Hagas Trail. Don't forget to stop by Hinckley Cove if you're here at Bear Pond, and unsurprisingly, this is a wonderful neighborhood for people who like lakes, Second Roach Pond is a lake around here.                  This lake is so wonderful. Big Squaw is a tremendous place to do that, and there are great locations to look at along the Big Spencer Mountain Trail. Throughout the warm months, highs typically are in the 70's at Bear Pond. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's.
