What a nice lake Bear Pond is. A normal amount of rain falls here at Bear Pond; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. There's wonderful hiking along the Gulf Hagas Trail, and a delightful place for whitewater paddling is Big Wilson Stream. Camping is available at Jo-mary Lake Campground, and you are near Bucks Cove since you're here.

| | Club, and you can run the rapids of Ship Pond Stream. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Wildwood Shores Campground is always a pleasant experience, and do take a look at Big Bennett Pond, it's a picturesque lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Bear Pond; Auburn Log Hauling Road is a magnificent local trail, and if the weather is pretty, you get a splendid sight of Hedgehog Mountain from Bear Pond.

to do near Bear Pond. A journey to Bucks Falls will fill your soul with tremendous feelings, and after a long day outdoors Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a wonderful location to spend a night or two. Big Wilson Stream is a striking stream
that is worth stopping at; don't leave Bear Pond without first going for a hike along the Northwest Ridge Road. Summer at Bear Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Throughout
the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Bear Pond.
