    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Bear Pond. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Bear Pond has to offer, you can camp at Martin Stream Campsite, and Lost Valley is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Auburn; hey, Hayford Brook is a splendid local stream. Residence Inn Auburn is a wonderful location to get some rest, and from Bear Pond you acquire a good vista of  
   Bear Mountain.
All through the long summer days, highs typically are in the 70's at Bear Pond. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Bear Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Bear Pond there are plenty of folks from Lewiston-Auburn, and Old Mill Bulkhead Dam has nice water scenery.
Head up to Titcomb and strap some
 
               skis to your feet, and if you come at the right time of year, Sandy River offers some magnificent whitewater. Man, is there plenty of amusing stuff to do close to Bear Pond. Bear Pond is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Bear Pond Campground Fun Park is a good spot to camp nearby, and drift down the rapids of Nezinscot River in a kayak. All the water falling down from the sky makes Bear Pond a wet place; November is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
