     Get drenched paddling on Narraguagus River, and camping is available at Eastbrook Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Chalk Pond is in the neighborhood, and while you're here, you could stop by Bobcat Brook. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. On a pleasant day at Bear Pond you can take a hike along the Lead Mountain Trail, and Lead Mountain can be observed from Bear Pond. The Eagle Lake Trail is a tremendous hiking trail right next door  
   to Bear Pond, and why not camp at Mountainview Campground since you're here at Bear Pond.
At Bear Pond through the summer months highs are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Bear Pond. Twentyeight Pond is a glorious lake in the vicinity of Bear Pond, and soar down the rapids of Narraguagus River - West Branch in a kayak. If you need a place to stay Sea
