     Dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Moosehead Lake; Bean Ponds is right by the Old Telos Tote Road. From a rain point of view Bean Ponds is a reasonably common site; most of the rain falls during July while February is regularly the driest month. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Bean Ponds while night lows are generally in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Bean Ponds temperatures  
   plunge to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Bean Ponds has to offer, you can camp at Chimney Pond Campground; Big Squaw has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff.
I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a magnificent time here at Bean Ponds. Take a hike on the Abol Trail, and you can stay the night at Frost Pond Campground. Rainbow Lake Dam is a site that is in close proximity to Bean Ponds; whitewater paddling is
 
               not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Penobscot River - West Branch. While you're here at Bean Ponds, you could also explore beautiful Buck Pond, and there's whitewater on Nahmakanta Stream for all you adrenaline people.
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Blue Trail, and Rainbow Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. This lake is so wonderful.
