     Bingham Motor Inn is a great place to get some rest, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Bean Pond; Arnolds Trail is a great local trail. If you came for an overnight stay Happy Horseshoe Campground is a good place to camp; after a long day outdoors Herbert Grand Hotel is a great place to spend a night or two. Why not have a look at nearby Carrying Place Stream if you're here at Bean Pond, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Carrying Place Stream.  
   Really great skiing awaits you at Eaton Mountain, and a beautiful lake like Lost Pond is a splendid location to stop by.
This lake is so wonderful. Throughout the summertime at Bean Pond temperatures are regularly in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Bean Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. You can never
 
               get enough of the great skiing at Sugarloaf USA, and Gilman Pond Campground is a delightful campground nearby.
The amount of precipitation that falls at Bean Pond is close to the national average; November is the wettest month with most snow, and February is the month with the least moisture. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Bean Pond. If you come at the right time of year, Sandy Stream offers some wonderful whitewater, and you'll find a lovely lake called Rowe Pond.

Breezy Acres Camps and Guide Service is located in both Solon and Eustis Maine. He have housekeeping cabins which are set up with full size stoves, refrigerators,microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds are made with linens and there are plenty of towels for the shower in the bathroom. Each cabin has its own picnic table, charcoal grill and outside fire pit. We can sleep up to 38 people.

You can access snowmobile and ATV trails right from the cabin for many miles of riding. Canoeing and kayaking on various lakes, ponds, streams and rivers are a great way to relax. Hunting, fishing, golf and white water rafting are some of the other activities that we offer.

We offer reasonable rates and great hospitality.

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
