     Camping is available at Frost Pond Campground. Lakes? Sure, Kelly Pond is close at hand. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent close by hotel is Lodge at Moosehead Lake, and don't leave Bean Pond without first going for a hike along the Old Telos Tote Road. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Big Squaw while you're here, and wonderful hiking is available along the Big Spencer Mountain Trail.
For the duration of the warm days of summer
 
   at Bean Pond highs are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Bean Pond are in the-10's. An average amount of precipitation falls at Bean Pond; the wettest month of the year is usually July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. Paddling on Penobscot River - West Branch is so much fun, and you can go  
               for a hike on the Blue Trail.
If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Bean Pond. Little Kelly Pond is a good lake in the neighborhood of Bean Pond, and get drenched paddling on Nahmakanta Stream.
