Take a hike on the Fire Warden Trail; Carrabasset is a great whitewater spot nearby. During the warmest time of the year highs here at Bauds Pond reach the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Bauds Pond temperatures       plunge to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Herbert Grand Hotel is a great location to spend a night or two, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Just can't get enough of Bauds Pond. Take a side spree to Barker Brook; in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Temple Stream. Bauds Pond is a good place of typical precipitation; the month of November                  is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month of the year is February. A beautiful lake like Mill Pond near Bauds Pond is a tremendous place to stop by, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Bauds Pond; Arnolds Trail is a great local trail. A perfect place to camp here at Bauds Pond is Nor-40 Campground, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Sugarloaf USA is relatively near. So much entertaining stuff to do at Bauds Pond, so little time. This lake is so wonderful. Mill Pond is a good lake next to Bauds Pond, and camping at Gilman Pond Campground is always a great experience.
