Not far from Bauds Pond you get some magnificent water scenery at Bauds Pond Dam, and Caswell Mountain is pretty and can be seen from here. Take a hike on the Fire Warden Trail; Carrabasset is a great whitewater spot nearby. During the warmest time of the year highs here at Bauds Pond reach the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Bauds Pond temperatures

After a long day outdoors Herbert Grand Hotel is a great location to spend a night or two, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Just can't get enough of Bauds Pond. Take a side spree to Barker Brook; in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Temple Stream. is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month of the year is February. A beautiful lake like Mill Pond near Bauds Pond is a tremendous place to stop by, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Bauds Pond; Arnolds Trail
is a great local trail. A perfect place to camp here at Bauds Pond is Nor-40 Campground, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Sugarloaf USA is relatively near. So much entertaining stuff to do at Bauds Pond, so little time.
This lake is so wonderful. Mill Pond is a good lake next to Bauds Pond, and camping at Gilman Pond Campground is always a great experience. The snow is fine at Titcomb, and if you need a site to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a glorious choice.

Eaton Mountain

The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends. The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
