    In Maine there are many beautiful lakes, Bauds Pond is one of them. If you come at the right time of year, Carrabasset offers some splendid whitewater, and do take a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Fire Warden Trail. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Bauds Pond Dam, and a wonderful site to camp here at Bauds Pond is Nor-40 Campground.
You simply must fancy Bauds Pond. After
 
   a long day outdoors Mountain Village Inn is a brilliant location to spend a night or two; Caswell Mountain is clearly visible from Bauds Pond. The amount of precipitation that falls at Bauds Pond is close to the national average; through November this area sees the most snow, and the driest month is February. It's a splendid idea to have a look at Barker Brook, it's close to Bauds Pond, and Bauds Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Gilman  
               Pond Campground is a glorious local campground.
This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Temple Stream. Lakes? Sure, Lily Pond is close by. The skiing at Titcomb is great; dry warm beds await you at Herbert Grand Hotel. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Sugarloaf USA, and Bauds Pond is right by the Arnolds Trail.
For the duration of the summertime at Bauds Pond temperatures are frequently in the 70's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Bauds Pond.
