The Yachtsman Lodge and Marina is a good place to get some rest, and Crow Hill is delightful and can be observed from here. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to hit the beach, Goochs Beach is in the neighborhood, and why not take a little tour to Goff Mill       Brook if you're here. Batson River Reservoir sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through November this area sees the most rain, and September is when it's the driest. Lakes? Sure, Shackford Pond is nearby, and you're sure to run into some cheerful folks from Portland-South Portland here. This lake is so wonderful.
