There is a nice hiking trail in close proximity to Baskahegan Lake called the Potters Trail, and camping is available at Maine Wilderness Camps. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Baskahegan Stream. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Greenland Cove Campground while you're here at Baskahegan Lake; dry warm beds await you at Scottish Inns Houlton. There are swamps here too; Elliott Gut is       in close proximity; don't forget to check out Abraquidassat Point if you're here. Through the summertime months at Baskahegan Lake highs are mostly in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's.
