Roberts Pond is a lake in close proximity, and there are plenty of folks from Portland-South Portland here at Bartlett Pond. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you       then we recommend Little Ossipee River, and Bartlett Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Blackburn's Camp Ground is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Sanford Inn is a nice choice, and a good location to camp here at Bartlett Pond is Camp Cherith. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Saco River, and you're almost certainly keen on lakes, Tarwater Pond is one of those nearby. High temperatures at Bartlett Pond through the warm days of summer are in the 80's while night lows are typically in the 50's.
