     Barrett Pond is right by the Sally Mountain Trail, and not far from Barrett Pond you'll locate Little Fish Pond which is a lovely lake. Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Arnold Pond Trail; picturesque scenery and great skiing is what you acquire at Sugarloaf USA. For the duration of the summertime months, highs typically are in the 70's at Barrett Pond; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with  
   highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Barrett Pond. Hiking along the Morrell Trail is great fun, and drift down the rapids of Moose River - South Branch in a kayak.
A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Barrett Pond; the wettest month of the year is usually July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. So many entertaining things close to Barrett Pond, simply impressive. Camping is available
 
               at Black Arrow Lodge, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Round Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. A delightful place to camp here at Barrett Pond is Cathedral Pines Camping Area, and if you come at the right time of year, Parlin Pond Stream offers some magnificent whitewater.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....
