Barren Pond is always a pleasure to visit. There are some nice whitewater spots on Mopang Stream; lakes are such peaceful locations, why not pop by Goose Pond. For the period of the days of summer at Barren Pond highs are typically in the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Barren Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Bar

| | Harbor Inn, and there are other locations here than Barren Pond, for example Duck Pond. Camping at Sunset Point Campground is always a delightful experience, and don't forget to take a magnificent little trip to Barren Pond Brook. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area near Barren Pond has to offer. Clifford Lake
 | 18 miles away Clifford Lake is very isolated . You can get their via route 9 or Route 1 in Princeton. I would recommend a recent typo map and asking plenty of guestions from the locals. There is a small camping area. My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) .
