Camping at Mainayr Campground is always a wonderful experience, and the Lead Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. You're almost certainly hooked on lakes, Duck Pond is one of those close by, and Barren Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Sunset Point Campground is a brilliant local campground. At Barren Pond through the summertime months highs are in the 70's, and the night is a little colder of course, generally in the 50's. For the period

| | of the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Barren Pond fall into the 0's. Having a brilliant time at Barren Pond is simple. Lakes are great; Goose Pond is a lake that's close to Barren Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Bar Harbor Inn. Grounds is a pretty location any time of year, and whitewater paddling is nice on Mopang Stream. This lake is so wonderful. A quick spree to Barren Pond Brook in the neighborhood of Barren Pond is a nice idea; get dripping wet paddling on Pleasant River.

 | 18 miles away Clifford Lake is very isolated . You can get their via route 9 or Route 1 in Princeton. I would recommend a recent typo map and asking plenty of guestions from the locals. There is a small camping area. My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) .
