You're almost certainly hooked on lakes, Duck Pond is one of those close by, and Barren Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Sunset Point Campground is a brilliant local campground. At Barren Pond through the summertime months highs are in the 70's, and the night is a little colder of course, generally in the 50's. For the period       of the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Barren Pond fall into the 0's. Having a brilliant time at Barren Pond is simple. Lakes are great; Goose Pond is a lake that's close to Barren Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Bar Harbor Inn. All the water falling down from the sky makes Barren Pond a wet site; November is the month that gets the most rain while June is mostly the driest month. The Middle                  Grounds is a pretty location any time of year, and whitewater paddling is nice on Mopang Stream. This lake is so wonderful.
