     Barker Mill Dam Pond is a nice lake to visit. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Barker Mill Dam Pond. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's, and night lows in the 10's for Barker Mill Dam Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Residence Inn Auburn, and Maine Campground Owners Association is a tremendous local campground. Empire Grove Campground  
   is a delightful campground nearby; a good view of delightful Mount David is available.
Paddling on Chandler Brook is so much fun; Barker Mill Dam is lovely. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Talor Brook is in the vicinity, and some nearby water includes Little Androscoggin River. Barker Mill Dam Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; November is the wettest month with most rain; September is when it's the driest.

This is a nice small pond just off of 302 but you can't hear any of the busy traffic. I'd recommend LOTS of bug sprays as the mosquitoes tend to swarm and are very plentiful this year. If you're not a fisherman but your children are...there are picnic tables for you to enjoy a book, needlepoint, or just relax and take in the fresh air....
