If you are in Franklin county it's always a good idea to stop by Ballard Pond. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Ballard Pond has to offer, you can camp at Nor 40 Campground; Staples Pond Dam has splendid water scenery. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a perfect choice; Ballard Pond is not the only place nearby, Mud Pond is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. | | we recommend Sandy River, and why not head up to Sugarloaf USA and strap some skis to your feet. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Ballard Pond; Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a fine local trail, of course you could also have a look at Staples Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. popular ski area close at hand. Summertime at Ballard Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and the nighttime is a bit colder of course, typically in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's, and through
the dark hours in the wintertime at Ballard Pond temperatures plunge to the 0's. Ballard Pond is a reasonably wet place mostly with a good deal of precipitation; November is when you get the most rain here while February is typically
the driest month. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great globe it would be. Wilson Lake Inn is a brilliant place to get some rest; get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Temple Stream.
This lake is so wonderful. Gus Mitchell Brook is right next door to Ballard Pond and is always a joy to stop at, and the summit of Porter Hill can be observed from Ballard Pond.
