If you are traveling by, why not stop by Ballard Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Gus Mitchell Brook is a delightful stream that is worth going to, and paddling on Sandy River is so much fun. All the water falling down from the sky makes Ballard Pond a wet place; November is the month that gets the most rain while February is generally the driest month.

This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Titcomb since you're here, and get soaked paddling on Temple Stream. Porter Hill
is a peak you can spot from Ballard Pond, and a great nearby hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites. Staples Pond Dam is not far at all from Ballard Pond; Nor 40 Campground is a great campground nearby.
