     Some of the water nearby flows, like East Inlet Bald Mountain Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Moosehead Lake. Bald Mountain Pond is a quite wet place mostly with much rain; all through July this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February. Any time is a nice time at Bald Mountain Pond if you adore the outdoors. Balsam woods Campground is a good campground nearby; in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling  
   on Piscataquis River - West Branch. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Bald Mountain Pond with night lows in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Bald Mountain Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. Austin Pond is a pleasant lake in the vicinity of Bald Mountain Pond; if you came for an overnight stay Breezy Acres is a pleasant place to camp. Hiking along the Big Squaw Mountain Trail
 
               is great fun. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Intake Trail, and after a long day outdoors Bingham Motor Inn is a tremendous place to spend a night or two.
There are other places here than Bald Mountain Pond, for example Little Moxie Pond, and whitewater paddling is nice on Austin Stream.

Breezy Acres Camps and Guide Service is located in both Solon and Eustis Maine. He have housekeeping cabins which are set up with full size stoves, refrigerators,microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds are made with linens and there are plenty of towels for the shower in the bathroom. Each cabin has its own picnic table, charcoal grill and outside fire pit. We can sleep up to 38 people.

You can access snowmobile and ATV trails right from the cabin for many miles of riding. Canoeing and kayaking on various lakes, ponds, streams and rivers are a great way to relax. Hunting, fishing, golf and white water rafting are some of the other activities that we offer.

We offer reasonable rates and great hospitality.

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
