If you come at the right time of year, Parlin Pond Stream offers some splendid whitewater, and getting to Davis Brook from Baker Pond is painless. This lake is so wonderful. The Bigelow       Range Trail offers hiking at its best, and there are some great whitewater spots on Spencer Stream. The annual rain here at Baker Pond is about average; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while February is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Very picturesque scenery and great skiing is what you get at Saddleback. You could also explore Porter Pond since you're here at Baker Pond; it's nearby.
