Stay the night at Black Arrow Lodge; why not take a refreshing hike along the Sally Mountain Trail. You don’t have to go far from Baker Pond to distinguish the water at King-Bartlett Lake Dam, and Baker Pond is right by the Fire Warden Trail. Just can't get enough of Baker Pond. If you come at the right time of year, Parlin Pond Stream offers some splendid whitewater, and getting to Davis Brook from Baker Pond is painless. This lake is so wonderful. The Bigelow

| | Range Trail offers hiking at its best, and there are some great whitewater spots on Spencer Stream. The annual rain here at Baker Pond is about average; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while February is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Very picturesque scenery and great skiing is what you get at Saddleback. You could also explore Porter Pond since you're here at Baker Pond; it's nearby. There's so much to do | |

Sure, Davis Pond is just a very short distance away. During the months of summer here at Baker Pond, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Baker Pond.

 | 16 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
