     Good hiking is available along the Intake Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Northern Outdoors is a good spot to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Baker Pond; Arnolds Trail is a tremendous local trail; Knights Pond Hill is a peak you can spot from Baker Pond. Don't leave Baker Pond without first going for a hike along the Big Squaw Mountain Trail, and drift down the rapids of Moxie Stream in a kayak. From a precipitation  
   point of view Baker Pond is a pretty normal location; most of the rain falls during July, and February is the month with the least moisture.
But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Baker Pond. Enchanted Outfitters & Lodge is a brilliant campground nearby; Baker Pond is not the only place nearby, Moxie Pond is a nearby lake. A brilliant close by hotel is Lodge at Moosehead Lake, and a lake close by is Knights Pond.
Why not stop at a swamp
 
               like Elbow Bog since you're here at Baker Pond, and if you need a place to stay Bingham Motor Inn is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Very great water scenery is available at Moxie Pond Dam in the vicinity of Baker Pond; get wet paddling on Kennebec River. For the duration of the warm days of summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Baker Pond. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Baker Pond fall into the-10's.
