If you like the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Baker Pond. There's whitewater on Big Wilson Stream for all you adrenaline junkies; not far from Baker Pond you'll stumble on Grassy Pond which is a wonderful lake. Summertime highs at Baker Pond typically tend to be in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.       The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Baker Pond dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. After a long day outdoors Pittsfield Motor Inn is a magnificent place to spend a night or two; if the weather is beautiful, you obtain a perfect panorama of Elephant Mountain from Baker Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Number Four Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; whitewater                  paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Pleasant River - West Branch. If the weather is great here at Baker Pond, you can go for a hike along the Big Spencer Mountain Trail; Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a wonderful place to get some rest. Baker Brook is a stream that you may come across during your stay; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Big Squaw is relatively near. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Baker Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Casey's Spencer Bay Campground is a magnificent spot for that. Lakes? Sure, Lost Pond is around here.
