All through the warm months at Bait Pond highs are ordinarily in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are frequently in the 20's while Bait Pond night low temperatures during the winter are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. The Telephone Trail offers hiking at its best, and a magnificent spot       to camp here at Bait Pond is Big Moose Campground. A lake nearby is North Twin Lake, and camping is available at Hidden Springs Campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Americas Best Value Heritage Motor Inn is a nice choice; there's magnificent hiking along the Ragged Mountain Trail. Bait Pond is not the only place close by, Wadleigh Pond is a close by lake; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can                  always go whitewater paddling on Sandy Stream. Lots of folks from Bangor come to Bait Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Cedar Lake Trail. That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Bait Pond has it all. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Inn & Suites, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Millinocket Stream.
