     If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Caucomgomoc Stream, and getting to Avery Brook from Avery Pond is simple. Dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Moosehead Lake. While you're here at Avery Pond, you could also stop at picturesque Pine Pond, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Allagash Stream. This lake is so wonderful. Rowe Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. There's so much to do here at Avery Pond  
   that you need to camp here for a while, Seboomook wilderness Campground is a good place for that.
Avery Pond gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; the wettest month of the year is regularly July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. Throughout the summer months, highs usually are in the 70's at Avery Pond. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Avery Pond fall into the-10's.

This is the web site for Seboomoook Wilderness Campground. Yes they are still there and it's still beautiful! Their phone number is at their web site. They have a new email address but I don't know what it is....
My family and I have been to seboomook campground for the last 7 years, Its beautiful, friendly and a great place to spend some time. When planning this years trip I have discovered that I cannot get to the web page,(when going to that page a porno site comes up) and the number I had made reservations on for the last 7 years is not in service. I dont understand this?...Is it still there???...
