Daytime highs during       the winter are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Atwood Pond are in the-10's. If you need a location to stay Katahdin Inn is a good choice, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Jerry Pond Tote Road. This lake is so wonderful. You're almost certainly keen on lakes, Haskell Deadwater is one of those close by; going for a hike along the Matagamon Tote Road will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Get your heart beating                  on the fine whitewater of Seboeis River, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Spring Brook Trail. You must definitely check out The Oxbow while you're here at Atwood Pond, and Atwood Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, South Branch Pond Campground is a brilliant local campground. This lake is so wonderful. An average amount of precipitation falls at Atwood Pond; most of the rain falls throughout July, and the driest month is February. You absolutely should go for Atwood Pond.
