This lake is so wonderful. There are fine places to discover along the Sally Mountain Trail; a lake close by is Bog Pond. A pleasant place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Attean Pond is Spencer Stream, and get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Little Spencer Stream. Jackman       Trading Post is a magnificent local campground, and you can go for a hike on the Bald Mountain Trail. Through the warm days of summer at Attean Pond highs are usually in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Attean Pond are in the-10's. Man, is there a lot of enjoyable things to do next to Attean Pond. The slopes of Sugarloaf USA are so inviting                  nobody can resist, of course you could also check out Wood Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Attean Pond is a good site of normal rainfall; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest.
