Get soaked paddling on Munsungan Stream, and Atkins Pond is not the only spot close by, Elsie Pond is a close by lake. For the duration of the warm months highs here at Atkins Pond reach the 70's, and the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; night lows at Atkins Pond during the wintertime frequently plunge into the-10's. Atkins Pond gets a normal       amount of precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Atkins Pond; Eagle Lake Tote Road is a great local trail, and South Branch Pond Campground is a glorious campground nearby. Aroostook Brook is a picturesque stream that is worth a visit, and the Freezeout Road offers hiking at its best. So many entertaining things in the neighborhood of Atkins Pond, absolutely remarkable.
