    Anderson Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. After a long day outdoors The Harborside Hotel and Marina is a good location to spend a night or two, and Acadia National Park is a brilliant site nearby. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do close to Anderson Pond. Mountainview Campground is a fine local campground, and you can go for a hike on the Lead Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's brilliant hiking along the The  
   Anvil Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Narraguagus River - West Branch offers some good whitewater.
Getting to Ash Bog Stream from Anderson Pond is simple. A good deal of rain falls at Anderson Pond; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is August. Bar Harbor Inn is a glorious place to get some rest; why not have a look at a swamp like Alf Sproul Swamp if you're here at Anderson Pond.
On a delightful day you can
 
               stop by Schoodic Beach right next door to Anderson Pond, and at Anderson Pond you can see Anderson Pond Nubble. Summertime highs at Anderson Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 70's while night lows are commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Anderson Pond temperatures descend to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Flanders Bay since you're here at Anderson Pond; don't leave Anderson Pond without first going for a hike along the Schoodic Head Trail.
There are some nice whitewater spots on Narraguagus River, and time spent at Black Beach is always glorious.
