Alligator Lake

  Camping at Great Pond Outdoor Recreation Area is always a nice experience, and during your visit here you'll meet some people from Aurora for sure. On nearby Narraguagus River you run into a type I-II run of whitewater; the Deer Lake to Deblois segment is 25 miles long. It's perhaps reasonable to go paddling on this run of Narraguagus River even if you believe your paddling skills aren't very great. Union River - West Branch has a close by whitewater segment;
    the Great Pond to Goodwin Bridge sector is a great 17-mile-long type I-II segment of whitewater. The proficient raft paddlers should almost certainly stay away from this segment of Union River - West Branch.
