If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Narraguagus River, and great hiking is available along the Eagle Lake Trail. For the period of the summer highs here at Alligator Lake get into the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Alligator Lake. White Birches Country Club is       a good place to get some rest; there's great hiking along the Lead Mountain Trail. John Brown Brook is a stream that you may encounter while you're here, and if you came to camp Cold Spring Campground is a wonderful spot to do that. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Alligator Lake. The Peaked Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. The high level of rain makes Alligator Lake a pretty wet place; the month of November                  is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent place for whitewater paddling next to Alligator Lake is Union River - East Branch.
