A good place to camp here at Allen Pond is Bally-Hoo Campground, and there is a nice hiking trail nearby called the Province Brook Trail. This place is unbeatable, just check out all the amusing things to do next to Allen Pond. You can never get enough of the brilliant skiing at King Pine, and nearby you hit upon the Kearsarge Trail which is a good hiking trail. This is a delightful vicinity for people who like lakes.       Plain Pond is a lake close at hand, and the Weeks Brook Trail is a brilliant hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Really great skiing awaits you at Cranmore Mountain, and if you need a location to stay Oxford House Inn is a glorious choice. Allen Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; November is when you get the most rain here, and September is the month with the least moisture. If you want to hit the beach, Providence Lake Beach is                  nearby, and the panorama of Churchill Hill is beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Champion Pond; camping at Windsong Campgrounds is always a great experience. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Ossipee River. Merrill Farm Resort is a nice spot to get some rest, and hey, Great Brook is a brilliant local stream. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Allen Pond, and the night is slightly colder of course, usually in the 50's.
