What a nice lake Allen Pond is. A splendid site for whitewater paddling right next door to Allen Pond is Nezinscot River, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. During your journey to Allen Pond you'll meet some people from Lewiston-Auburn for sure; you can stay the night at Allen Pond Campground. This lake is so wonderful.  | 19 miles away Fun short spot, We made it a overnight trip and had a good old time. There needs to be a bunch of water in this stream to even make it doable. on 4/20 we were scooting-ass over many shallow spots in our yaks. Fun drops with laziness inbetween make for a good time especially for the novice.... |
