A splendid site for whitewater paddling right next door to Allen Pond is Nezinscot River, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. During your journey to Allen Pond you'll meet some people from Lewiston-Auburn for sure; you can stay the night at Allen Pond Campground. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater       paddling on Chandler Brook; a lake nearby is Deane Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Auburn Municipal Beach close to Allen Pond is always a fine idea, and Residence Inn Auburn is a magnificent place to get some rest. The high level of rainfall makes Allen Pond a pretty wet place; through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and September meanwhile is the driest month.
