The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Alger Pond. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Alger Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at SUPER 8 MOTEL - BANGOR; at Alger Pond you       can catch a sight of Oak Hill. Alger Pond in fact is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Souadabscook Stream is a delightful whitewater spot next to Alger Pond, and a gorgeous lake like Hammond Pond is a brilliant place to visit. Very scenic scenery and brilliant skiing is what you get at New Hermon Mountain, and Best Western White House Inn is a tremendous place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Shady Acres RV and Campgrounds is                  a great local campground; Marsh Stream Reservoir is a tremendous lake close by. The amount of precipitation that falls at Alger Pond is close to the national average; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.
