A great close by hotel is Glen Cove Inn and Suites, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Mount Megunticook Trail. There's whitewater on St. George River for all you adrenaline kick people. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to stumble upon some great people from Rockland here. Lakes? Sure, Lermond Pond is in the vicinity. During                  the warm days of summer at Alford Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Alford Lake plunge into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A fine place to camp here at Alford Lake is Alford Lake Camp, and hey, Gotta ski right? Camden is a brilliant site to do that.
