The snow is wonderful at Bigrock; get covered with water paddling on Meduxnekeag River - South Branch. Take a side visit to Meadow Brook, and there's good hiking along the Kennedy Tote Road. Go for a hike on the Sweets Trail, and why not camp at Wilde Pines Campground since you're here at Alerton Lake. For the period of the warmest time of the year highs here at Alerton       Lake reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and night lows through the wintertime for Alerton Lake tend to be in the 0's.
