    A visit to Alamoosook Lake is always a good idea. Alamoosook Lake is not the only place nearby, Hancock Pond is a nearby lake, and a golf course close by is Bucksport Golf Club. You simply must like Alamoosook Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Bald Mountain Trail, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby New Hermon Mountain.
The annual precipitation here at Alamoosook Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is
 
   typically November, that's the one that rains the most; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Hollywood Slots Hotel And Raceway is a tremendous place to spend a night or two; do take a hike on the Blue Hill Trail. Get soaked paddling on Narramissic River, and since you're here, you might as well visit The Sand Bar.
This lake is so wonderful. Visit Dead River since you're here at Alamoosook Lake,
 
               and get yourself into a kayak and hit Penobscot River. There are swamps here too; Hell Bottom Swamp is in close proximity, and Duck Cove is quite close. Camping is available at Shady Oaks Campground and Cabins; Alamoosook Dam has fine water scenery.
Yep, outdoors amusing things to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Alamoosook Lake. If you get bored of Alamoosook Lake, you could also check out nearby Main Stem Orland River Reservoir, and a nice close by hotel is Best Western Fort Knox Inn. On a pretty day you acquire a view of Dressers Mountain from Alamoosook Lake, and camping at Whispering Pines Campground is always a pleasant experience. High temperatures at Alamoosook Lake through the summertime are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Alamoosook Lake.
