    Why not stop by Alamoosook Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. The vista of Dressers Mountain from Alamoosook Lake is pretty; great water scenery is available at Alamoosook Dam close to Alamoosook Lake. Going for a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and do schedule some time to pop by Duck Cove if you have a chance. At Alamoosook Lake through the warm days of summer highs  
   are in the 70's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Alamoosook Lake.
If the weather is wonderful here at Alamoosook Lake, you can go for a hike along the Blue Hill Trail, and you're in all probability addicted to lakes, Thurston Pond is one of those nearby. And that's not all you can do here at Alamoosook Lake. The Sand Bar is a perfect location to stop
 
               by nearby, and a delightful close by hotel is Best Western Fort Knox Inn. Very wonderful scenery and wonderful skiing is what you get at New Hermon Mountain; Penobscot River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by.
This lake is so wonderful. On a tremendous day you can take a look at Hell Bottom Swamp, a swamp in close proximity to Alamoosook Lake. There's so much to do here at Alamoosook Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Shady Oaks Campground and Cabins is a great place for that. After a long day outdoors Hollywood Slots Hotel And Raceway is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Alamoosook Lake has to offer, you can camp at Whispering Pines Campground.
You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area near Alamoosook Lake has to offer. There's some flowing water nearby, Dead River is a stream you can pop by during your stay, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Narramissic River. Nearby lakes? Sure, Jacob Buck Pond is in close proximity to Alamoosook Lake, and golf can be played at Bucksport Golf Club. Alamoosook Lake gets a common amount of annual rainfall; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
