Through the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's with temperatures at Abarngamook Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Abarngamook Lake. Porter Brook flows through this vicinity; if you've had enough       of Abarngamook Lake, Nicatous Lake is nearby. The high level of rain makes Abarngamook Lake a quite wet place; throughout the month of November you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You could also stop by West Lake while you're here at Abarngamook Lake; it's close by, and Nicatous Stream is a nice whitewater spot nearby. Very glorious water scenery is available at Nicatous Lake Dam near                  Abarngamook Lake, and if you're here you ought to stop by Porter Cove. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Lead Mountain Trail, and Cold Spring Campground is a good campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. White Birches Country Club is a great place to get some rest, and Maple Grove Campground is a perfect local campground.
