Whitewater paddling is great on Gwynns Falls; you'll find a delightful lake called Elizabeth Pond. During the warm months, highs generally are in the 80's at Winterberry Pond. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Winterberry Pond dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Winterberry Pond gets a normal amount       of yearly precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Herring Run, and you can hit the beach if you want, Severn Beach is practically right here. Howard Creek is a stream that you may encounter during your stay; Winterberry Pond is a tremendous site to camp, Duncan's Family Campground is a tremendous site. This                  lake is so wonderful. North Severn Beach is close to Winterberry Pond if you're in a beach type of mood, and if you're here you should take a look at Arnold Point. You're sure to come across some good folks from Baltimore-Towson here, and Village Inn is a good spot to get some rest. Camping at Winterberry Pond is good fun, Millersville Koa Kampground is a good local campground; if you have time to spare, Greenbelt Park is a national park worth going to. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. Near Winterberry Pond you come across a golf course called Bay Hills Golf Club; if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Annapolis is a wonderful choice.   Comfort Inn Annapolis, Annapolis 2 miles away Locate off RT50.
